Stanley no. 8. Sweetheart.
This is a superb example of a no. 8 plane with only a small amount of chipping in the toe as seen in picture 4. The blade and can are original with very little use.
The orange japanning on the frog means that it was made between 1928 and 1932 according to Blood and Gore. This makes it a very collectable example of the sweetheart era.
The handles are unbroken and the cap has some chrome missing. No pitting on the body and no cracks or other defects.
$300.
Pick up from Cowes or Park Orchards. Post $15.
More pictures on request.
