I would like to thank all of those people who have purchased the woodworking gear that I can no longer use. Selling the stuff was never about the money as frankly, I don't need it. It was about not leaving it to gather dust any longer, and not leaving the problem of getting rid of it eventually to someone else.

I am really gratified that the gear has gone to people that can appreciate it, and hopefully use it more than I did, especially in more recent times.

Ninety eight percent of the light weight stuff has been sold. Whats left is the heavier equipment, like a bandsaw, cross cut saw, table saw, bench press, belt sander, router table set up with all the goodies etc. These will have to wait until after lockdown ends. And there is a fair amount of really good hard wood too.

To those in lockdown all over the country, thank your luck starts that you have such a great hobby that can relieve some of the pressure.

Mixed emotions having to part with shed jewellery.
As you mentioned better to do it than leave it to someone else.
One of our club members had to do the same I bought a few things and also offered if he need to do anything to call me which he has and finished off some boxes he had left over.

I enjoy selling on this forum.

I very much enjoy the toys will be actually used and produce a creative items.

Keep a spreadsheet of thy purchases, it helps in case one passes before SWMBO.

I get a kick out of knowing I am passing on equipment to people that will enjoying using it, and make something real with it.

Readers familiar with my prior transaction with TORB, would probably not expect to see me posting in this "thanks" thread, but this morning in the mail, I've received from TORB, an iGaging 900mm steel straight edge in useful/solid condition. I did not expect this, or solicit it in any way and I would like to thank TORB for this gesture. I see this completely as a genuine statement from him, where there is no doubt of it's good intention. TORB didn't have to do this at all, as our prior transaction last month, that went very badly for me, was already completely fixed to my satisfaction. This gesture by TORB however, removes completely my resentment of that sale and I see it as an honest regret of what happened. It says a lot about the man to do this and I'm quite astonished by it.

Coincidentally, I have been considering getting one of these tools from Timbecon (instead of a Veritas model), so this was a pleasant surprise. It will be a very useful tool that I will use a lot and it's a thoughtful gift. Of far greater value though, is TORB actually reaching out to say sorry, without being prompted to, or without actually needing to and that means a great deal. It means far more than I can adequately describe and I'm overwhelmed by the act. Each time I use this iGaging straight edge now, as well as a current Veritas steel clamping caul (formerly a straight edge), I will warmly reflect on their former owner and his good act. You've turned a bad outcome completely around. So thank you TORB, for something you didn't have to do. I hope your health improves and you can find an another alternative pastime to replace the wonder that is sanding. Take care.
