Tormek 2000
For sale is this Tormek 2000, which is the large Tormek. I purchased it about 10 years ago.
The reason for selling is that I do not use it, and I need the space. It has been sitting for a few years, used very occasionally in the time. It is in good working condition.
The tool guide is the one with a micro-adjuster.
The water bucket is a later, upgraded version.
The leather honing wheel has had little use ...
There is about 8 1/2" left on the grinding wheel, which was originally 10". This should provide several years of use.
It comes with the angle setter, almost new re-grading stone (changing the wheel from 220 to 1000 grit, and back), original blade holder, and a diamond truing tool (this is an extra which costs $140).
There are a couple of issues with the chassis of the machine, but nothing that affects its use. There is rust in the steel base and some of the top surface. I cleaned most of this off some years back, and coated it with a sealer (POR). It looks worse than it is ...
I have been tempted to strip the machine and keep it for the arms and tool holders. At some point I will probably need to purchase these for a recent bench grinder purchase (they come as a kit, the BGM-100 .... and this kit is $145).
The parts justify that the bottom price for this Tormek is $250. It is pick up only from my home.

Not interested in the Tormek but that table top breadboard thingy it's sitting on looks interesting? Any more pictures of this? Also what does the wing-nut clamp down?

Hi Charlie
It is a small bench I use at wood shows and demonstrations. It now also has a Moxon dovetail vise built into one side ...

Thanks Derek, I've thought of making something like this for a while or a milkman's vise which is even smaller again.
