Iyoroi Japanese chisels (originally bought from carbatec): 6, 18, 24, 36mm; $80, $100, $120, $140 or $400 (negotiable) for the lot. The 36mm has a couple of chips so will need a bit of work, the other 3 just need a touchup.

Are those chisels the same as these? https://www.thewoodworks.com.au/shop...re-nomi-detail if so they are higher than retail. Correct me if I’m wrong, maybe yours are a premium model? The top ones in damascus run to $700 each!

No, they are the same brand but mine are mine are the bench chisels, rather than butt chisels. They are 300mm long with a blade length of about 80mm and thickness about 6-8mm

The blades arrived at the start of the week, but I only got to test run them this morning. My brief test indicated they were very good in a tough hardwood (Tallow wood) both ripping and crosscutting. As my main use will be for cutting out replacement saw handles the blade has to deal with ripping and cross cutting. The blade is probably a little broad for the tighter curves, but I will get around that ( ).
Many thanks Elan

I had meant to add in the previous post that I have a Bosch jigsaw. The blades are compatible with several different makes.
