Vicmarc VL300 mechanical variable speed lathe.
Hi everyone.
Selling this excellent bowl lathe.
I acquired it in good mechanical but average cosmetic condition (covered in finish, dust etc.). I stripped back, painted and cleaned it up like new. It was going to be my bowl lathe with my VL200 long bed for other work. I then bought a VL300 long bed monster which covers all bases, so out my other two lathes go.
600mm swing, 535mm between centres, 1.1KW motor, mechanical variable speed (roughly 250 to 2500rpm). Has great torque due to constant motor speed. Has reverse also.
I'll happily demonstrate and answer any questions you may have.
Price is $1700.

Hi. It is 240v (single phase) power supply, just a regular 10amp lead. I have no tools included as I'm keeping what I have and recently sold my excess tools. I'll include the spanner, spur drive, live centre and a knockout bar though.
As for freight - I've never shipped a machine interstate so I have no idea of the cost. I'm happy to take it to a depot though if you wanted to organise freight. It will fit on a pallet, and weighs about 170-200kg. I'm open to any suggestions if forum members have had success with a freight company.

Hi Rohan. i sent you another PM mate but your inbox is full and needs clearing.
Anyone know if you get a warning when you hit full? If not, hopefully he checks here.
EDIT: All sorted.

Would you still have this lathe for sale? Our club is sadly lacking in quality machinery as well as cash but this looks like it could be a possibility to upgrade at least one lathe. We did notice your other one as well! Do you still have it as well?

Hi. Both are sold sorry. Keep your eyes peeled though and you'll find one for a decent price eventually. When i was looking, I was searching vicmarc on gumtree a couple of times a week to try and be on the ball when they are listed.
