    Hi giveitaburl,

I suspect (though do not know for certain) is that what smiife is implying is that most purchasers on these forums like what I call 'woodies' prices, that is very affordable $$ rather than full retail. A lot of forumites also gather their own bits and pieces so only buy something special that they can't pick up themselves. This is not a criticism per se, just a possible explanation for you. You may do better if you machine and wet at least one surface to show the figure and re-evaluate your prices. Including a scale in the photos would also help as, although you have written the sizes on the backing, at a quick glance they seem insignificant. In sales, presentation is important to generate interest. But, I've never sold timber like yours so this is just conjecture on my part to try to help.

They are all good prices , good luck anyone finding the same species easily!. We clear hundreds of acres per year so we understand the rarity of these burls. Unless anyone is interested feel free to keep your opinions to your self.

Maybe you'd better stick to the big end of town. You seem confident that they'd be happy to pay your prices? I think you must be on the wrong forum.

Well, I think with the attitude you've displayed so far the punters probably will keep their opinions.....and their cash....to themselves.

Your pictures are of average to poor quality (whether you like it or not).
The layout of your ad could do with some work (whether you like it or not).
You are trying to sell over $3000 worth of timber. A little more effort and a little less attitude may well improve the sales rate.
David (Xanthorrhoeas) was trying to help with some very friendly notes on what works well for timber sales on this particular forum.

"losers keep to facebook or twitter"
Nah, that's a better place for people with poor attitude. You may feel more at home there.
    Regards, FenceFurniture

While the customer may not always be right, demeaning potential customers is never a good marketing strategy. Word of mouth still stands as your greatest selling aid or potential disappointment. My hard earned dosh will be staying in my pocket on this one.

I'd suggest looking at "AustralianBurls.com" on facebook for how you might want to display some of these to drum up more potential offers. Side note, they are in USA but import Aussie burls as the name suggests.
