Black Walnut
I have recently had 3 Black walnut trees felled and will have a few more in the coming days. Only the trunk and main branches remain however there are some beautiful big pieces that will be of value to someone I am sure. Let me know if your interested in some. Price negotiable depending on quantity. Would consider a job lot however I will keep some for myself as it’s too nice and too hard to get.

Regularly mill down your way. Can you give some idea of log sizes please?

Hey,
Some are quite long and some are only short, and varying between 300mm and 800mm wide I would estimate.
Obviously 3 of the trees are still standing until tomorrow at this stage however once they are all down I will post some pics of what I have.
I understand these tree's were planted in the 1920's when our land was a police training college, with the intention of making gun stocks from the timber.
Ill keep you posted.

Hey,
Once the last few tree's are felled tomorrow I will post some pics of hat I have.
There are a few nice big fat forks, I will try to have some input into how the last few tree's are cut tomorrow to keep the largest forks in tact where possible.
At the moment i have no plans for any of it so if your keen on the forks I am sure we can come to an agreement.
Cheers
Matt

Hi Matt
If possible I would take all the forks down to 200mm dia. I would be able to collect before the weekend if necessary.
I will pm my phone no.
Cheers
