    Default Turning blanks from Ern's wood bank - Final (consolidated from the others)

    These are all dry and waxed and almost all came from The WoodSmith or timber suppliers at the woodwork shows.

    The measurements are conservative.

    Price is before postage. Pickup in the north of Melbourne is fine.

    If you want one, state the number or letter and the species, and your postcode for a postage quote.

    There is a little variation in colour and brightness from the way the forum has rendered the pics.

    2. Jarrah Burl - great figure and even voids. Reduced to $30.

    25. Huon Pine square - turns like butter.

    30. Unknown burl, prob. Myrtle Beech. This will come up very nicely. Measurement excludes the mouse nibble. Now $15

    34. Eu burl bowl square. This will look a little like an asteroid when turned. Just wrap with packing tape when hollowing and you should be fine.

    E. Brazil Yellowood. An unusual craftwood for us, ideal for a pencil jar or lidded box. Now $15.

    F. Redgum burl spindle blank.

    N. Elm roughed bowl with striking grain. This should make a decent salad bowl. The darker bits are waxed. This timber stood in a Cardigan St Melb. park for decades. If it's good enough for possums ...
