Default Bowl and spindle blanks from Ern's wood bank - batch 3

These are all dry and waxed and almost all came from The WoodSmith or timber suppliers at the woodwork shows.

    The measurements are conservative.

Price is before postage. Pickup in the north of Melbourne is fine.

If you want some, PM me the number(s) and your postcode for a postage quote.

The forum colour rendering isn't the best - the blanks are generally a bit redder.

    27. Vic Blackwood square

    28. Fiddleback Qld Maple 44x15x15 $30. Magnificent figure. Would make a superb vase. Thank Cyclone Larry for this piece.

    29. Fiddleback Qld Maple 47x15x15 $30. More magnificent figure. Another Cyclone Larry byproduct.

    30. Unknown burl, prob. Myrtle Beech

    31. Osage Orange spindle blank. This has a crack about half way through. I'd happily turn it with the help of CA but it could be broken down for first-class chisel handles.

    32. 3 x Osage Orange bowl blanks with round sides. $20 total.

    33. Mulga bowl square. Measurement excludes the natural notch.

    34. Eu burl bowl square

    ______________________

I'll be posting more spindle blanks over the next day or so. There's quite a bit of Vic Blackwood that's nothing special, just clean and straight and ideal for lidded boxes, pencil jars and the like. Let me know if there's a size you're looking for.
    Cheers, Ern

Damn, I keep missing out! Ern, do you have any more blocks/billets with fiddleback or quilting? Doesn’t specifically need to be qld maple, but something around that size?

There's some offcuts of Redgum burls. Got a rough size in mind?

My apologies but I'm not going to be able to buy the osage orange bowl blanks from you at this time. My wood turning funds have dried up for a couple of weeks.
