Default mackay cedar

red sirus.
The old timers called everything cedar....
It is a Qld rainforest tree, very stable, used in all the Hogs Breath cafes.
Check Mal's Boutique Timbers web site for some photos of the flame you an get with this timber.
Much harder, darker red, dense with some problems with some timbers like many timbers..... called 'sneezy wood'.
the red inner contrasts with a white sap wood, sometimes yeelow that can go through the whole timber.

Default Kauri

All yours Pete.
The pictures I think you are referring to are of the red cedar and coachwood pile.
I'm sure with your new wheels, we can make up a load to make the trip worth while.
I've got some NG rosewood and Euro beech coming, from a Qld sale but it won't be here until after the bris show when it gets a free lift down
Let me know when you want to come around.
thanks and Regards
Greg

Yes... all went to NZ, can you see the great fiddleback... but I have plenty more and can get some down for you if you want from the same log, they tend to get bigger as the slices progress through the log, most are 40mm
