Iron Bark sawn boards 250mm x 30mm - For Sale - Lower Blue Mountains
Iron Bark sawn boards 250mm x 30mm - For Sale - Lower Blue Mountains
The 80 year old tree in my front yard died some 14+ months ago; it was cut down for me with the trunk being milled 2 months ago; the boards are stacked as per the attach photo.
First in best dressed; various lengths from 1.0mtr to 1.6mtr; asking $30.00 a metre but can negotiate if you'd like a larger quantity BUT I only have just under a cubic metre.
As a bonus if you'd like I can dress the selected piece onsite at no charge as per the other photo.
Cheers, crowie

WOW Vaughan, That looks way too good for a woodwork bench, even for someone who makes wooden flutes....It's come up a treat, well done sir. Cheers. Peter

Thanks Peter!
Yes, your wood is way too good for a workbench (and my workmanship is less impressive in person).
I'm just glad it's made it this far.
Installing the patternmakers vise was quite daunting...

And so was drilling the bench dog holes...

Learnt a lot. I know I wouldn't build it the same way next time! But it suits me fine. A good sized surface for my hand tools, flexible vise for holding odd shapes for reaming and carving.
Once I finish adding a well and some dogs for long pieces in the front vise and sand and poly-linseed-wipe the rest of the bench I can't wait to have it up and running.
Vaughan
Ps I'm only a VERY amateur flutemaker to be sure!
