| | Jarrah slabs Hi JPC,
Few if any forumites are mind readers. Could you give us a little more info. We are obviously all pleased for you with your jarrah haul. I don't think any one will run off with those slab sizes single handed.

| | So as they are going to be as green as buggery how are you going to season them? Or are you just wanting to flog them off and let the purchaser end up with a bowed, twisted, split expensive bit of firewood? |

| | I don't know what prices are like over east, so this is for the info value only.
Over here (WA) at the gov't FPD auctions, green jarrah slabs say at least 1m x 4m x 50mm might go for $200-$400.
Supply is a factor, cos there might be 20+ slabs at each (quarterly) auction.
Cheers,
Paul. |

| | Jarrah Slabs Hi Paul,
Are you sure you have your sums correct there cause that's a bargain basement price for such a prime timber that is now in short supply. Freshly sawn Huon pine slabs of good quality in that sort of dimension fetch a price around 10 times the Jarrah price you quote ???

| | JPC, please read the rules regarding sales on Market Place. I note you have now added the price, but you are yet to have a product. When you have cut the slabs, know what you have and the prices you wish to sell at, repost a thread for sale.
As for others comments, you too should read the rules about posting opinions on the open forum
