The sliced up and finished stuff will cost, but the old burls piled up often go cheap, depending on how they sell it.
How's that tool box, wow it looks goodNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

Was thinking the same about the burls. 240 lots there alone among the burls and timber things. Would be worth the trip jus on the off chance some was cheap and I could fill the boot.
the tool box? gorgeous, but hey, I'd never use it, so just gotta step back into reality here. Mind you, if anyone wants me to bid for them...

Will do. I'm likely to go myself if I can find someone to share the ride up there. Wouldn't mind seeing how some of the smaller lots of Burls would go for. Any ideas from others as to what is a fair price? (yeah, how long is a piece of string )

Dave - if you would grab the things I am interested if they go for the right price, I can come and grab them from you as you are under 100k's away, and I also have a mate who lives in Stawell and works in Horsham if needed.
For Melbourne members, I can bring down some items permitting, I have a dual can but only a 6x4 trailer. Happy to pay forward per se.
Dave - able to help? All good if not.

'How long is a piece of string?' Mark
Who knows. It really depends on who is there. If just Joe Blows like me, it'll be three figures, hard to break into four. If one genuine collector, he'll snap it up with his deep pockets. If two collectors, how deep is each pocket? Auctions are like that.
Me? If I had two grand to waste, wouldn't be out of the question. But I don't
