It may help your sale if someone wanted to view/collect in person.

    Yeah I'm gonna do this...

That's a volumetric rate of $221,500 per cubic meter. Officially twice as expensive as the previous most expensive piece of wood I've ever seen.

I don't usually call people out like that, but come on... We try to keep it kind of friendly here.

Don't forget you'd have to buy two in case the first one gets stuffed up when your making whatever it is your making! ;-)

    cheers, Ian

It certainly is a beautiful piece of timber. Such lovely chatoyance, typical of the best figure in Queensland Maple. However, as you may have perceived from the responses above, these woodworkers forums prefer what I call 'woodies' prices: affordable for the average woodworker. The items that sell well here are reasonably priced, not full retail. I'm not being negative here, just offering some advice. eBay or Etsy may provide you with some more suitable customers, but, for the most part, high priced items do not do well here. It's still a lovely piece of timber so thanks for the photo.
    PS I don't need it.

It is a lovely piece but it is not big enough to make a decent size box from and you certainly wouldn't want to mix another species in with it. Half longer again and it would be on the money.
