Default Sydney: African Blackwood pieces

Hello all,

I have a number of pieces of African Blackwood for sale, surplus to my current requirements.

All pieces are approximately 500mm x 70mm with varying thickness (5-12mm)

Prices from $15-30 per piece and discounts will be given for volume purchases.
Some pictures are attached.

Pickup in Northern Sydney Suburbs is preferred however shipping can be arranged at buyer's expense to anywhere in Australia.

Payment via cash on pickup, direct deposit or Paypal (cash or direct deposit preferred)

Any questions please send a PM.

Please watch this space for other exotic timbers.

Hi All,

Wirraway (Rob) is my Dad. I recall going through this timber sometime ago and helping him set some aside for those who were interested. I was clearing out the workshop over the weekend and found a few bundles which had not been sent. I can't really offer any explanation as to why they weren't sent but apologise on his behalf if people were left inconvenienced by this.

That said, the timber is still available! Preference will be giving to Greg and Jeff whose bundles I still have set aside.

PM me with any questions or inquiries.

Thanks.

Thanks everyone for the great response.

There are only a few of the thicker and clearer pieces available, so bulk purchases for these is getting quite difficult.

However I still do have a large number of pieces left that aren't as good a quality available. These pieces typically have a critical defect, such as mark or plug in the center, or some areas of sapwood that make them unsuitable for applications where the full 500 x 70 dimension is needed.

Aside from these critical defects these pieces are still straight, thick and have consistent colour. Many certainly would be suitable for box making, inlays, small tool handles etc where you can work around the defect.

These pieces will be somewhat cheaper than the defect free pieces.

PM me if these may better suit your needs.

This is an old thread, but kirkbyd has taken over his father's thread (Wirraway)

Please advise when sold or done
