    Default VIC - Blackwood - 0.5m3

    Howdy!

I have a few lots of excess timber purchased at auction, and the first of these is this blackwood. My preference is to sell this in one lot, but I'll consider splitting it. The total amount I have is 0.62m3, and I'm happy to either sell the entire lot, or keep a bit depending on what anyone wants to buy.

I've included pictures below (complete with tearout / ) of a bit I cut off and planed. I can provide more pictures, but there won't be any surprises - it's rough sawn blackwood. It has the range of beautiful colours typical of blackwood, and looks to be mostly plain sawn.

I'm asking $5000 + GST / m3 with an invoice, or DM me if that doesn't interest you.

    The timber consists of:

    125x50 (minimum) - random lengths from 0.9 to 2.7 plus one 3.9 - 20.4 l/m

    150-160x40 - random lengths from 0.9 - 2.5 - 51.2 l/m

    155x38x3.6m - 9 lengths - 32.4 l/m

Let me know if you have any questions or want any particular pics. Cheers!

PS pickup is from Doncaster, if you buy the lot, I'll deliver it to Melbourne metro, perhaps beyond.

Some more pics - apparently taking photos of timber with a phone under average lighting is not that easy [emoji22]

If there's any interest or anyone wants to make an offer, please do before I stick it on Gumtree.

I've just listed this timber elsewhere, with slightly different quantities and a cheaper price. I've copied the post with some extra pictures, so get in touch if you're interested..

I have a stash of Blackwood for sale, as detailed below. I bought this at auction with a few other lots of timber, and since my workshop is now so full of timber that I can't make anything, this lot needs to go! Perfect for furniture making.

    The current prices I've been given for Blackwood are $5600-$6000 + GST / m3. I'm asking $4000 + GST, so $2200.

Pickup from Doncaster, or I can deliver depending on distance.

    This lot includes:

    125x50:
    1/1.8, 1/1.9, 1/2,0, 1/2.7, 1/3.9 (0.077m3)

    150-160x40:
    2/1.5, 3/1.8, 2/2.0, 2/2.1, 1/2.2, 5/2.3, 2/2.4, 1/2.5 (0.233m3)

    155x38:
    9x3.6 (0.191m3)

From what I can tell, the boards are all plain sawn. You can see some nice figure where the edge of one board is quarter sawn.

Yes. Not a timber-selling business, but a carpentry and some furniture-making business. The timber was bought through the business, and so if it's bought by another business then they can claim GST.

An update after having just gone through the timber before taking it to a storage place:
    - The 3.9m length of 125x50 is pretty bowed. Nothing else is noticeably so.
    - There's a bonus length of 155x38x3.6
    - The 3.6m lengths actually are a range between 3.6 - 4.0
