I can't help you, but did a bit of looking.

If no forum member can help, Amazon are listing one (used) copy available: https://www.amazon.com/Australian-tr.../dp/1876601043

Thanks Midnight Man. I did see that one but wasn't sure what was meant by a "staple bound". Also, trying to buy locally to avoid high delivery charges (and perhaps help a fellow Woodie who wanted to downsize their book collection).

No luck there, unfortunately. I was told another print run of the book is planned in the future. So, I'm still in the market this book.

Amazon copy is still for sale.

Don't quote me, but as far as I know, staple bound means the pages are stapled together - presumably this indicates the original binding failed in some manner.

<shrug> Should still be readable - but I guess it depends on whether you want it as a working book, or display book

    Hi guys,

IWCS has discussed this as an ongoing useful & popular publication but one which needs constant (frequent) updating as names & classifications of plants change frequently.

The next revision (3 rd I recall) should not be far away. IWCS members will keep keep you informed of availability. I will also when I hear. As others suggested it is bound by staples in middle.

Thanks for the update, Euge. I'm sure other Woodies will want to add a copy of the 3rd Ed. to their libraries when it is available.

I've just purchased this book from the CSIRO bookshop.

    No, I didn't - I just purchased a copy of:

    Title: Australian Forest Woods
    ISBN/ISSN: 9781486307784
    Quantity: 1
    Price: AU $69.99
    Format: Hardback

This appear to be a newly published book.

    Still waiting.......................for reprint of
Australian Trees and Shrubs-Common and Scientific Names and Toxic Properties
