    Default Handle for Drill Press

If you have a dead drill press that still as a handle, or you know where we can buy one of these, please let me know.
The shaft is 12.3mm dia. The attached photos are of the drill, plus one that is similar which has the identical handle still in use.

If you got the money to spend! You don't need a handle at all.

You are right, China; it should be easy but I'm on long service leave and don't have easy access to a workshop.

Brilliant idea, Rev. I raced down to Supercheap and paid $8.25. The hole in the boss was the exact size. All I had to do was drill out the pin hole, tap a 1/4 BSW thread and insert a grub screw. With a slight modification to the angle of the handle with a ball-pein "persuader" to provide clearance from the table, my neighbour is happy as Larry that his drill press is back in action.

    Interesting one, Hoey.

That's what I love about this forum. The collective eyes, minds and experiences of hundreds.
