    Default Low angle jack plane

Following up on my thread asking for advise at Advise needed - Low angle jack plane vs others

Anyone looking to offload their Luban/Veritas low angle jack plane? Don't think I can afford a Lie Nielsen though.

    Thanks
    Azahan

Veritas and Lie Nielsen are about the same price (about $470). I saw a Lie Nielsen 62 on Gumtree today that looks almost new, but the guy wanted $500? Its a great tool.

Now that's interesting, I thought the LN version would be significantly more expensive!

CharlieZ is right, they are almost the same price. Low Angle Jack Plane No 62 vs Veritas(R) Low-Angle Jack Plane with PM-V11 Blade | Carbatec.
but Lie Nielsen has no stock locally. Also, Veritas comes with PMV-11, the best blade material in my book. I think you have a backorder option though on Lie Nielsen. It must be tempting.
Just checked they have stock in the US

Tempting indeed! If no one is offloading theirs, I might just bite the bullet and buy a new one. I'm leaning towards the Veritas since it's more comfortable to be used for shooting.
