A lot depends on why you want a kero fridge for a mail box. If its because it looks good, then almost any 'old' fridge will do. Kero fridges used the same body work as regular fridges in the 1950's > 1960's (1940's if you were in the USA) - that rounded half melted look.
If its just for the insulating & animal resistant properties, then any old 'modern' fridge would do.
Since you are up Tamworth way, it would be a good idea to spend a bit of time going around the old town tips in the area & look for an old, abandoned fridge. You would have to give the outside a wire brushing and repaint it, the door seal would be dead, so glue or screw some 'rubber' hose into the door gap, then attach a hasp & staple to keep the door closed as the original catch is also likely to be defunct by now. OK, a fair bit more work that finding one in 'working' condition, but probably a good bit easier now days. |
