    Default WorkZone Thicknesser blades

Wondering if anyone knows where I can buy a new set of blades for my WorkZone Thicknesser, as sold by ALDI (I didn't buy it as it was given to me). I did a good search on Google but nothing was found.
    Thanks for any clues.
    Cheers

I recall talk that the Aldi one is a rebranded Ryobi:

Ryobi 1500W Planer Thicknesser - Bunnings Australia

    Does that look about right?

    Default Ryobi blades not suitable

I went into Bunnings and the only Ryobi Thicknesser they stock is a 318mm capacity machine. the WorkZone machine is only 305mm so the Ryobi blades wont fit. They didn't know where I could get the 305mm blades so the hunt continues.

You need a supplier like Peacock Saws (Qld) or Henry Bros (in Sydney). Melbourne would have an equivalent. They make/sell everything that cuts. You may just need to give them sizes so you end up with a set to fit your machine.
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

Northern Sharpening in North Coburg might be worth a call. I am sure they would post. 9350-4262

Others might know of someone closer to you in the Dandenong area.

Is there anything at the ends of the cutter block that the longer blades would hit when they rotate if they hang out a little bit (it's only 6mm each end)? If this was a problem, providing the thickness and width of the Ryobi blade was the same or very similar you could cut the extra 12mm off each blade with a slitting disc in an angle grinder. Get a friend to do it if you don't have one.
It appears that some Makita units take 305mm blades but I don't know what the dimensions are for width and thickness.

Knowing the Ryobi model it's the same as will hopefully yield a part number or spec to help with finding a replacement. As Treecycle said though if it's oversize you can cut it down, but carbide also grinds down easily without issue. I've done it heaps of times on the old coarse grey wheel on my bench grinder.

    Default Thicknesser blades.

Any decent saw doctor will be able to supply these. They have lengths and will cut to size. I have bought a few sets over the years for my 20 inch and my 12 inch.
