I suggest you join one of the vintage machinery forums and ask there. https://www.google.com.au/search?cli...UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
Old Woodworking Machines - Index page is the prominent one.CHRIS

This is an Australian site.
I have never seen a Yates saw in Oz.
Try the US site OWWM.
The Canadian site is also a possibility ‘Canadian Woodwork Forum’ they have a vintage machinery section also.

Hello, from Michigan.
These saws are not common but solidly built with no junky plastics bits anywhere. The blade guard mechanism for this saw was an optional accessory, and are extremely difficult is not impossible to find. That said, I have devised one. I suggest that you visit this site, where I describe (briefly) how I made a splitter/guard/dust collection assembly. If you need further details, please direct your questions there, as I think that this machine doesn't exist in Australia.
