Default Large heavy duty 2.4m x 2.4m pet enclosure

Hi all, we no longer have small pets other than our dogs so this is free to anyone who wants it. Don't be fooled by the surface tarnish, this cost me well over $1k in materials to build and like all things I do is massively over engineered. It's solid as a rock and we've used it for guinea pigs, ferrets and birds, and it has many, many more years of service to give.

    It consists of:

All framing is 25mm square aluminium extrusion with a 2.5mm wall thickness for strength and corrosion proofing.
4 panels @ 2.4m x 2.4m x 1.2m with 600mm of 1mm thick gal iron sheet along the base to make it completely rat/mouse/vermin proof and 600mm of heavy duty mesh on top half.
2 panels @ 2.4m x 2.4m x 1.2m with mesh for the roof, (I'd already taken the roof off when I took the pics).

Panels easily bolt together with 3 bolts each corner.
Two large stainless steel handles each side so two people can easily lift it and move it around.
All mesh and gal iron sheet is fixed with heavy duty aluminium and stainless steel rivets.
The mesh used is 2mm thick x 25mm heavy duty gal iron, if the tarnish bugs you a wire brush will bring it great, or just a respray with some gal iron paint will bring it up like new.
Door hinges are heavy duty aluminium with a spring loaded auto closer, and gal iron padbolt.

When we had parrots we planned to cut the two 2.4m x 1.2m mesh roof sections in half to add 600mm of mesh panels to the sides for height, and then just fix colourbond for the roof making it 2.4m x 2.4m x 1.8m high, but just never got around to it. It would be fairly easy to do this if you wanted to turn it into a massive aviary that's weather proof.

I've disassembled it, pickup only from near Mulgrave.

Just in case it's not clear because of the pics, this is a fully enclosed and vermin proof enclosure suitable for any small animals, larger lizards, birds, unruly kids, etc!

    And it's free!
