Default Makita LXT batteries - not working

    Hi all,

Free to anyone who can use them or needs to replace cells in their batteries,I have 2 x BL1830 (18v 3A) and 1 x BL1430 (14v 3A) batteries that were allowed to go flat and then re-charged. Unfortunately I only found out after trying to charge them several times, that Makita for some stupid safety reason has a circuit board with a fuse that is blown to stop them being charged when below a certain level!

I did pull the 18v packs apart and charged the cells individually to continue using them, but this was more painful in practice that when I thought it in my head.

I've now sold the tools themselves so if anyone wants them, I can send them in an express satchel.

    cheers, Ian

I'd be interested in the 18v batteries.
