Woodfast OLD 24 inch electric jigsaw (flood damaged)
I purchased this superb old machine from a Forums member some years ago and repaired it to working condition. It was an amazing machine and could scroll saw up to 30 mm of some timbers. It is really solid cast iron construction. Unfortunately, along with the rest of my workshop, it was flooded in the Brisbane River 26 February 2022 floods. I had hoped to repair the electrics and motor but have found that the cost is more than it is worth to me. that's partially because my new workshop space, above flood level, is smaller and I won't have room for it.
So, it is FREE if you want it. Note, it is about 10m below house level, near the river, and weighs a lot, perhaps 150 Kg. it will have to be lugged up the hill and out to the street by hand. I may be able to tow it on my mower trailer, but it would have to be lifted onto the trailer and some push assistance to get up the levy bank.
So, some muscle work needed, and probably a new motor, but you can't find a machine of this quality today, - over to you.

if no one wants it then my insurer will eventually (no action nor payment yet!) have to dispose of it. I'd hate to see it dumped but I can't accommodate it.

John,
As per my PM, this saw is ancient - 1950s or 1960s and doesn't have an air pump.
It was a great saw, very solid, but no modern conveniences.

Thanks David.
I did check the photo against mine, and the top cap etc is different.
I can't use it.
Don't throw it away as it is a Woodfast machine. Made in South Australia.
I have a number of Woodfast machines and they are solid stuff.
Thanks for everything.
John
P.S. Someone grab this to save it.
