No, china ink. A quick ebonisation attempt. Bet you can't guess what their purpose is.

No, spike for "tribal" wood earring. You can see dozens of them if you google "wooden earrings". I am reliably informed that in Europe you can find them at every street corner (cynical me thinks with other commodities... ) I found the hard way that power machines do not necessarily make the job easier or faster. The spike is fun (whatever tool you like using ) but to turn, drill and cut the earring without it shattering is quite an interesting exercise of applied physics. I got it at the 6th attempt, my unreserved admiration if you can do better.

It is a pity that getting 'up close and personal' with items this small you get to see the tool marks .... sanding too hard and nerves shot!! Glad I'm not making dozens!
Goblet stands 33 mm tall.

, could you please clarify how the poll will deal with multiple entries? That is, only the highest counts or the sum of votes for all a person's entries? Thanks.

Good. This forces us to pick what we think is our best shot and not enter all the other so-so efforts that would only split the vote to our detriment.
Unless somebody is so good that s/he could scoop first second and third place...

Well, I finally got off my duff and ventured down to the dark, dank basment workshop (wishing to win the lotto so a proper shed can be built in the backyard !!!) to work on my entry.
A simple pot based (kinda, sorta, loosly) on 10th century BC pottery in what is today Israel.
50mm wide x 44.5mm high x ~2mm wall thickness.
The wood is ornamental cherry with several coats of Waterlox.
Note: for those wondering what the coin is...it's a U.S. 25 cent pieceCheers,
Ed

the gavel is 49.97mm long .
cooktown iron wood and waxed . the wife likes it better than the full size one'If the enemy is in range, so are you.'
