That's great. I like how the lid goes on. With the lid off it just looks like a bowl with a little rim above the flat part. Not like its missing the lid. And then the lids fits over that. Very neat.

I'm pretty sure it is Sassafras. I bought a bunch of Tasmanian blanks someone was selling off and it was one of them. The finial (if it counts as such!) is purple heart.
