Redgum likes to move so a snug fit = future problems.

So don't try for a tight fit of the lid... but if it "rattles" slightly then you should be right. Besides, it makes it more usable when you can remove the lid with just one hand.

P.S the truth is had a design oppertunity looks like a pier bollard with a hula skirt will start again.
