Quick question - how thick is the finial at the base (tenon) and tip?

Number 20 measures 48mm long, and is 11mm diameter at the widest part and under 2mm at the tip. More show of pics. 21 finials. Attachment 113530Attachment 113531

And my best to date. Number 20. Number 21 got its end busted off an dis now a bit shorter. I hope its not down hill from here. I thought I just maybe needed to stop for today.Attachment 113532

Actually 22 finials. Cool. Only 26 to go. (so my best one is actually number 21. )

Me too. I'll do more like that, and some with balls down the thin end just for more fun. (I get bored easily. )

More tomorrow and Friday. Got side tracked. 26 to go. Although I'll prolly do some extras cos the first ones I did now seem a bit fat. Or maybe I'll just return them. They are still on their sticks. Did 11 a day (before I had to race off a be mother.), so might take me 3 days to finish. (every the optimist. )

Good grief, 11 a day? I think I could maybe manage 5 and that would be with some good stiff coffees!

Coffee? Now there's your problem. You gotta have tea when you are turning.

Here are todays finials. 12! I'm getting quicker.
