    Default Assembly bench

    Been a while since my last post, here's a little catch up...

    I got tired of doing things on the floor or with sawhorses, so I knocked up an assembly bench with the materials I had left over...

    Assembly Bench
    I just need something functional, i.e. level with a large surface area that was at a height that was good for my back. It was comprised of 90x45mm structural pine, with a 15mm ply shelf.

    Default Mobile Lift

    To help with future lifting needs, I bought a "Mobile Girder Rail Package Deal (1 Tonne Capacity)" that was on sale from Hare & Forbes. I'm pretty happy with it.
    The plan is to be able to back the ute/trailer into the shed and then use the hoist to lift things off... safely and easily.

    Default DC Enclosure

    After much deliberation, I decided to build a timber framed enclosure for the CV Max, clad in plywood. The muffler is also made from plywood scraps with the exhaust venting out of the east wall of the shed. I used Acoustic wool from the B-store

    In hindsight, using an adjustable wall bracket i.e. for air-con units would have been much easier, especially when getting the DC motor and ducting into place.

    Default DC Ducting

    I managed to find a good deal on pvc pipe (225mm & 150mm) on Gumtree with fittings coming from the either the 'Gumtree guy' or from Samios Plumbing.
    I tried going through my local hardware and produce stores, and most of them couldn't be arsed to even call up their suppliers for pricing. So much for keeping it local...

    I also didn't like the way the ducting was supposed to join up with the inlet of the cyclone, so I drew up something similar to the what the guys used in the Wood Whisperer's installation and had a local sheet metal place make up a transition.

    Next was the slow and arduous task of the ducting... Top tip for those playing at home - get a mate (or multiple mates) to give you a hand! Doing it by yourself is 'character building'!
