Beginners DIY shed
Helped my son start to move into a new house and shed today.
6 x 4 m insulated with a full width roller door leading out onto a 4 x 3 m paved area in front of the door.
A covered 9 x 1 m gap between shed and fence will suit a DC plus timber storage.
A PA door at the other end.
32A mains feed to a breaker box with 3 circuits, A 10A circuit with plenty of GPOs, a dedicated 15A circuit and GPO, and a lighting circuit driving 4 fluoros.
Solid 5m long built in bench down one wall with plenty of OH storage cupboards.
The bonus is the house also has a 2.5 car garage so some of the usual family related trappings can stay in the garage.
I hope there's some room left over to store some of my crap there.
He already looks after my 8x5 trailer!

He can't use the trailer as neither of their vehicles have hitches. The arrangement is they can fill it and the rent for storing it is I will empty it.
I've given him a lot of gear over the last couple of years mainly via an excuse to upgrade (hand tools, compressor, grinder, Small table saw, bandsaw, angle grinder, circular). SWMBO thought I was being a nice Dad doing this. He also recently scored some of his two granddads hand tools plus birthdays etc have resulted in other gear as presents so he has more than enough to get started without borrowing from me.
They told their house and had to move out so they put most of their stuff into storage, the rest got stashed at various family members and I have the contents of his shed on my front veranda so it looks like a workshop. We also have their two dogs which together with our two dogs are slowing trashing the back garden. They just need to complete a bit of painting this weekend and hopefully they can move in next weekend.

Sounds like a great space. I think he wall have a lot of fun setting it up to his liking, and you should have fun helping.
Good things come to those who wait, and sail right past those who don't reach out and grab them.
