Installed the Stairs last weekend, and have been plotting along insulating to roof.

    20220326_131139.jpg
Treds are just the local timber supplier rough sawn hardwood, 250x50. We cut them down to 1m long lenghts and gave them a sand 80 --> 240 on the top and sides and a 1/4" round over on the top edge.

We are off camping tomorrow, so that well be all the progress I get down while I'm home this time. Next plan is to get a couple more Cat6 run in across the ceiling space for some cameras, and a power feed for a big fan between the lights. Then start putting up the insulated pannelson the bays insulated. That should clear out the last bay of enough pannels to get in to batten and insulate that, and that will be half the ceiling completed.

From there We should be able to room off one section of the Mez for the mrs sewing gear, and put an aircon in there to keep her happy.

Its slowly getting there, I still need to run the mains in to get power in, finish painting (undercoat only atm) and fit off the rest of the power downstairs.
Once the mez is closed in I need to run power around that, floors to be sanded/ground and expoxy'd, dust collection setup for the cnc machine, and ceiling/lighting installed under the mez.
I have a couple of walls I need to put up downstairs for under the mez, and some pallet racking to order for general storage / sheet storage.

Then will just be general fitout of benches moving tools in

Not a huge update have been flat out at work plus we went away for easter, cables have been run in for the data, and the feed for the fan.

Started getting some of the insulated pannels up on the ceiling, you can see the lifter isn't quite tall enough to each the end ones, and so I've made a makeshift platform using 6 500kg rated saw horses and some yellow tongue just to get the little bit extra height required.

what was you're reasoning for going yellow tongue on the walls?

Because I'm using the shed as a workshop, and didn't want to have to frame up anything for support, and yellow tongue was the cheapest material I could find when buying bulk. To pay a similar amount per sheet in plywood would only get me 6-7mm thick, so would then need to frame out to support ot spend more to get 15-19mm. I was getting yellow tongue for $38-39 a sheet, so made sense to use that as i could put it up without another other framing on the back of the top hat.

yeah makes sense, I'm tossing up about lining a small double car garage so not in the same league as your man cave, just wasn't sure if there was a reason other then price.

    Default Mez Room

Its been a little while since i've done an update. Again not a huge huge update, as I've been flat out again with work, and then had to do some work to our other shed which took time away from progressing the big one..
I got a couple more roof sheets up to get ready to enclose in part of the mez to be used as a sewing room for the Mrs.
I got a length of C150 Nesting Channel and cut one side off to get a 125x50 angle to use as a bottom rail for the wall panel. This was screw up under the main bearer for the mez.
You can see in the photo I used a couple of panel offcuts as spacers so it was a reasonable tight fit for them to sit into.
    20220727_165403.jpg

From there installed the wall C bracket, then I started cutting and installing the panels to make up the main wall.

    20220728_161349.jpg

Used the electric panel lifter to get it in place, do not reconmend what i did solo, get a 2nd set of hands. The rest of the panels i had the Mrs give me a hand but the 1st one I did solo.

With a 2nd set of hands the rest of the panels went in reasonable smoothly.

Side wall went up without too many issues other than panels are a prick to slide into top and bottom channels with you have an angled roof.

Then Finished off tonight getting the tops in above the window and the panel trim on. Just need to get the window/door and do the sill frames and flooring down and room is done other than power.

I swing I was home we got started on getting the power run in.
2 sets of 100mm conduit where run down 1 for the eventual house and the other to the shed.
For submains I am running in a 3ph 70mm2 Ally to cover voltage drop, these will be terminated via bi-metal lugs into the chassi switchboard in the shed, and at the pole will be stepped down to some 25mm2 to go into the breaker
Ideally I would of like to trench directly to where the switchboard is located, unfortunately the shed in the corner already cut down into rock making access to trench in that corner some what of a problem.
Instead we ground out a channel where access was easier, and I will need to run the feed internally under the mez floor across to the switchbaord.
    20220812_093840.jpg
was a fairly miserable weekend with intermitted rain which is always fun while trenching.
    20220814_131538.jpg

    20220814_131556.jpg

Got back again this arvo and quickly got the feed through the wall.
    Cables into shed.jpg

Still needs a tidy up, securing, and some flashing made up to cover the conduit/anaconda.
Eventually I'll have all of this concreted and a small sealed skillion roof section off to house the dust collection and air compressor so they are semi sound insulated outside the main shed.

Its been a while since my last update,
I've been away Sept/Oct/Nov for work, so have only just gotten back into the project.

I got the Sheds Main Board installed, wiring still in progress in pic.

    20220826_154217.jpg 20220826_154037.jpg 20220826_153652.jpg

Also got the board installed up at the property pole which will house the tranistion from copper cable from the breaker to the 75mm2 Ally that was run down for both the eventural house and shed
    20220827_122158.jpg

We installed some pallet racking to tidy up a little. Will need to get some more later when I get into fitout but this will do us for now.
    20221117_172954.jpg 20221119_163719.jpg

Then it was back onto getting something finished in this shed, so to keep the Mrs happy we started with her area. (double action as I've never tried to do an epoxy floor before so started in the smallest section up in the mez)

We Picked up the materials to try an epoxy floor. Plan is to see how difficult it is to install ourselves and if its not too bad we will do the entire shed section by section.
    20221215_104930.jpg
and of course being the area for the Mrs, she wanted some purple flare in it. So also picked up a purple highlight flake to mix in.
    20221215_105003.jpg

Do gave the yellow tounge a good scraping to get rid of any excess adhesive from laying the floor. We should have also filled in the screw holes/small cracks, but we didn't so you'll see later they show through a little. Nothing Major just a learning experience.
So got the sander up there and sanded everything flat.

    20221220_174311.jpg 20221220_174338.jpg

From there we spread out the 1st coat of epoxy.
    20221222_171254.jpg

After that we left it to dry for 24hours, before starting the 2nd coat the Flake Coat.
This is where we picked up on the 2nd error made (my fault for not reading properly)

    20221223_094548.jpg
Here is the mixed up flake, and here lies the 2nd error made. When the Kit was purchased it came with 4 boxes of flake. I ordered a 5th box which was the purple to mix in and the Mrs decided she wanted the hole thing mixed in, awesome I though 1 spare box of the white/grey/black combo for the main floor later. The stuff up came in the way of not reading the coverage rate properly of the kits. We picked a colour that had smaller chip size and thus should of bought more flake but I didn't. My Bad, but we will know for the main floor so no biggy the Mrs still love how the floor turned out.

    20221223_153338.jpg
So you can see to make up for our mistake, we decided to stop the flake at the doorway and jus tleave the rest to be solid colour epoxy. You will also notice there are a few white patches in the flake side of the floor, well that extra box we thought we had, we put is down to make sure we had full coverage of flake but since it wasn't mixed with the purple we have patches of more white.

We finished the floor with an entrapment coat of clear epoxy, then a UV protection coat.

From there the floor was finished, and we started some fitout of the mez area.

    20221227_172544.jpg 20221227_172607.jpg 20221227_172731.jpg

Built in the window sil/skirting, built a quick workdesk for a heatpress/sewing machines, and we are currently working on another standalone desk for the emboidery machine.
    20221229_124937.jpg

The tops of the desks will be epoxied as well once we order the next batch to do the concret floors down stairs.
