'I have mocked up a possible duct arrangement which I will trial before fixing but, at the moment, all I can think of is....'

Rather than down then horizontal then 45, I wonder if you rotate the 45 up slightly, you may be able to replace the 90 with another 45

In my head that seems' straighter ' and shorter possibly lower resistance?

    Or not....

Nothing’s fixed yet Russ, it’s definitely worth a try!

It was like herding cats but.....

    34E65D00-DE45-4969-AB24-9BBBC5F06A22.jpg

...... jiggling 2 x 45 degree elbows around still left the ‘chimney’ about 10 degrees off vertical. More importantly however, was that the upward facing 45 deg elbow was under the outfeed table. Adding a straight length brought the elbow out from under the table AND gave the assembly enough ‘spring’ to make the chimney vertical . Good suggestion Russ!
I’ll put a temporary strap on and operate it like this for a while to see if it is practical and to see if I need to worry about the small amount of vertical adjustment needed occasionally on the outfeed table?

Why does it matter if it's 10° off vertical?

when working around it, remove ONE of your shoes then you'll be lopsided as well.

I think the bungee is going to get in the way unless you only work with short stock.

Alan I think you'll soon need H down in the shed at all times

It will also double as a snorkel for when river depth reaches bridge level.
