Just a quick sensible question Paul!!
Yes I'm sorry out of the norm.
On your pipe work you have used steel hose clamps ??
I've used the same pipe and fittings on our place but had no need for the hose clamps.
I will have the forum members do a rain dance on your behalf this Saturday.
Cheers Matt

Matt
I doubt that the hose clamps are at all necessary particularly with this larger (1 1/2") hose pipe, which seems to be tougher than the smaller diameters and the fact that they are only under light gravity pressure. In fact as the tails are trapped between the bulkies there is even less of a need. I think it is on my part just force of habit. I considered afterwards whether it might have been cheaper using poly pipe fittings, but they too are expensive in the larger sizes. I did not do a cost comparison.
The irony of this exercise is that I have a small electric pump which I could have used and placed the storage bulkies on the ground. It would have been a heap cheaper. Utilising the tyres the whole set up looks a bit agricultural to say the least, but it is supposed to be temporary.
