Recycling office desk pedestal
Wanted to throw away an old office desk, but then decided to recycle (part of) it. One evening later I have a sturdy thicknesser stand. Just made a 70x35 pine frame around it, added some castors, and bolted the thicknesser to the frame. Feels very steady, and I can move the whole assembly around shop with one hand. And it has some drawers too Quick and practical.

Well thought out, with the external frame it should be easy to add some hinged infeed and out feed extensions if need be.

See you do not have to build something from scratch. Just modify something to your needs.
