ridge cap?
Hello honorable members, l'm going to have a go at finishing the shed extension flashing as the plumber is either too busy or doesn't want the job!
Question - does the ridge cap (has the bubble on top - not a flat cap) go on top of the edge flashing (roof and wall ) or does the flashing go over the ridge cap, l would have thought the R/cap went over the flashing and then apparently, you have the bubble a bit longer then snip the bubble so it can be folded inwards and gooped up (silicon) .
Tried to view a few sheds with the bubble cap, but its not a good look stopping in front of the neighborhood sheds and trying to see how their flashing and caps look.
Hope that long winded question makes sense, the ridge cap is red and the roof and walls are cream, in regards to looking right. ( aesthetically pleasing )
Regards
Stevo

Hi Stevo,
Ridge cap over the top of the edge flashing, then the end treatment of the capping as you suggested.
Cheers,
Geoff.

Thank you very much gentlemen, l'll put up some photo's to help someone else if they cannot picture my description.
Now just a wee bit of advice, l put up the wall sheets (uncut corro) then thought the plumber can trim them to profile - but alas after his failure to turn up (after saying he would be here 2 weeks ago) l decided to try and cut them with a electric FLAT sheet metal cutter, talked about a HUGE $%# up, so l took the sheets off then cut them on the flat (after marking them standing up) - yes!, l was in heaven then, so much easier with the swiss corro manual cutters.
Did that today and put up one piece of flashing (ran out of time after cutting the wall sheets) then thought l'll measure the other gable piece of flashing - oh bother - to be continued!
Here are the photo's - in regards to the flashing over hanging the gutter a tad, if l brought it back to the ridge cap more then l thought rain could get in from the spouting end, thats why its short one end, and yes trimming isn't finished its very windy today so it can wait.
