Shed....finally
Thought i would post my shed build and fit out here. Received news today that it would be installed next Thursday. We moved to this house recently, been renovating non stop. I had to delay the cnc router build till the shed was built. Exciting cause i plan to do some woodcarving stuff
Any advise/suggestions are very welcome and appreciated!

Well....... how about some details of the shed, PLEASE. ATM looks like a basic empty back yard.
Honestly, looking forward to seeing the build reports.
I'd insulate and line the shed while it's empty, easier to do now while it's empty, also make sure you work out where you want the power points, before you start lining it.
Another thing, line up a sparky now, as they usually have about 6 weeks work in front of them. DAMHIKT.

Yes i thought i'd start with the empty space Shed is from Alpha Industries, 4.8 m x 6.1 m x 2.7 m. They also included insulation and i opted for a large glass sliding door.
I have lined myself up to do the Electrical. Most likely i'll go for 10 mm sq supply. Yes additional insulation and lining of the shed is something i am seriously considering.
....thanks for your input Kryn

Cool another shed build, pulling up a chair to watch this.
I think lining the shed is a must if you are planning to spend time in the shed without be concern too much of the weather outside.

I would be more concerned with some sound proofing given the proximity of the neighbors.

Hope they are like my neighbors, they put up with noise in my shed (lined) and when I’m using the chainsaw mill. No complaints yet, but I do pick my time of day to make noise. Good luck with it, I built my shed 3 years ago (6x4m on my own) it’s nice to have a space to call home [emoji16]

Shed....finally
Basic, twin 4” fluro in the centre and then I put in LED strips 5.5mtrs down one bench and another 3.5 mtrs across the back where the lathe sits. The LED’s work great! I have 4 sheets of laserlite in the roof too, great in winter a real bugger in summer. It gets really hot just standing in there with the sun shining on me through it. I have a temporary fix in place at the moment, polystyrene sheets and corogated cardboard sitting just under the sheets. It means I need the lights on and the roller door faces south, but better than hot sun directly on me or whatever I’m working on. I should have put in a sub board and gone to town with wiring but budget was (and still is) tight. I can do it in the future as I did make provisions for it when I did the slab.

I got my sparky to install unswitched GPOs in the ceiling connected in pairs back into light switches by the door. I installed 6 double fluoros which I got out of a skip and replaced the tubes with LED tubes ($10 each from eBay). Then I added double LED/tubes above each of the two lathes, and one pair above the main work bench. The LED fluoros draw very little power and output a lot of light.

Thanks guys, this is my first shed this size. I did not get those plastic sheets on the roof.....also no roller door. Just the large sliding door. Led lighting sounds like a good option.

Do you have room in front of the shed for a later extension???? You might find you quickly run out of room, DAMHIKT!!!!!

Received confirmation today that the shed will be delivered tomorrow. Also they will start installation a day earlier. I am busy putting paving blocks under the fencing....thought i had two days to at least complete the shed area They had wood under there and it's all rotten away. Two sides of the shed is 600 mm away from the fence. I plan to just put stones on those two areas.
