Dave
I think we must have the same supplier. "Hammered earth metal flake" I think is the official description.
( Are you sure you can't make the GTG? It'll be about the first you have missed.)

I'll try every trick in the book to be there but at this satge it looks doubtful
On the flaky steel front one of my first cars was lamiated flaky steel. Im sure it was the flakes that held the car together. Ih the joys of such new steel

Well this work project got a little bit delayed.
The poor client went through four garage door companies before we got the door installed.
With the last one delaying progress by months.
A big pain to them a big pain for me.
But finally nearly I think 9 months later the end is near finally.
Which delayed me building this .
The last week or so I've crafted the mother of all sliding entrance doors.
Ruff demensions 2400 ish high 1800 wide mm
About 55 mm thick.
Looks smaller in pics for some reason.
Steel framed welded up by us 30 mm box steel.
Then sheeted out with 70 mm and 140 mm merabu with a steel insert panel and picture framed up.
Back side covered with cement sheet
Weight (really really f........ heavy)
Door needs to be lifted in to place with out dragging the bottom!!!!.
That was a pain.
Due to the bottom containing brooms [emoji52].
That wasn't enough ,it gets wired up to its motor next week.
Including being activated from a smart phone(clients not mine tho I did ask lol)
Not 100 percent finished but very ,very close finally.
Client and my self are very pleased with the result
Cheers Matt
For those that know the company Facebook page
There will be a write up there soon too.

Something a little different always throws a spanner in the works but persistence has certainly paid off!"All the gear and no idea"

Nice work Matt. I love that door. I think doors, including those hanging off containers, might be one of your specialities.
Straight out of the shed into the pool. I hope the filter is good with sawdust . What is the little hole with something blue in it next to the bench seat?

Is hopefully a place for children to put there pool toys in once finished with lol.
From the glass screen running along the pool was already in place before we started the shed built.
Signature doors you say Paul
That could be a like opening a whole new chapter in my live lol
Cheers Matt

First post on here after lurking for awhile but i had to stop and take the time to say how much I like that door and the wall around it, Everything just looks so good the straight lines the colours and the craftsmanship behind it. I wish that was my backyard and my workshop!
