| | If I was the owner of entry #12 I'd be feeling a bit cheated about now....
They actually got the 3rd most votes in the open class voting, more than #3 & more than #10 but only managed 2nd place in the beginners.
Bloody good effort whoever you are. |

It was quite fun to be part of it all. on to the next project!!!
Cheers,
Dave

| | I really feel for #7 and #9.
To me, workmanship always comes first. You need to be able to make a simple box nice before moving onto more complex ones.
7 and 9 have great workmanship. The edges of their box are clean, sharp, no tear out, no chips. Their joints are tight with no gaps.
They can make simple boxes look nice and they are in my top 5.
It is a bit like diving, a simple dive with great execution is always better than a difficult dive with poor execution. Obviously when you are good enough you can do a dfficult dive with great execution. Just look at the Chinese. |

| | Top effort to the organisers and participants. Great to see the different approaches to the same starting material. I'm in the process of putting together my first box, so next time I'll be in it too. The one that did it for me though was Wendy's effort: a box with no sides! Now that's thinking outside of the square Love it! |

| | Congratulations to the winners, they deserve their place in the Sun. I liked features of all of the boxes but Wongo's grain matching on the lid was truly special.
Ruffly, what a design! It reminds me of that legendary mystical place in the jungle where old elephants go to die and the tusks lie around holding up the tree canopy.
It was fun .....

| | It was a Heck of a lot of fun participating in this challenge. I ended up being nearly sick of the sight of my box at the end. I was so glad when it was finished.
I did not think I would even place, considering how out there my design is. I think I can safely say it's my first true piece of art
Thank you to everyone who participated, whether you are a Moderator or Admin, a watcher or entrant - even if you didn't get to post pictures in the end and most especially to Funky for kicking it off.
Greenie fired for you Ozkaban. You are a good sport.
Cheers

Picking who's was who's was fun even LOML didn't guess who did what.
FC great work in starting/organising it Watson & Wendy for their support in keeping the spirit alive.

Wendy | Was fun - it got me out of my comfort zone and made me attempt something I thought I'd get around to one day... Huge thanks to FC and other organisers.
Oh, and thanks for the greenie
Cheers,
Dave
