    Default Kiama wood show 2010

Another year, larger, better than ever and a great day drive down from Sydney.

KIAMA wood show on again on the weekend 13-14 March 2010

Location: At the hall on the left coming into town from Sydney, around 200m from the main street.

Tools, finishes, demonstrations, timber items for sale, advice........ displays of local work, a great mixture of various timbers for sale, slabs, boards, turing blocks.

Not sure if there is an entry cost?

    See you there

    Greg

    Default Kiama calling

    Update
    Demonstrators are sharpening tools
    Exhibitors polishing madly
Mal is loading timber to take down to the show next weekend at Kiama. Burls, slabs, boards and blocks

A reminder, the show is a short drive south of Sydney at one of the prettiest towns on the NSW coast, entry is free and they are a great bunch of mad woodies.
    Come down for the day.
    Regards
    Greg

The work presented was of a variety of styles shapes and woods.

I was impressed wit the work that had gone into the Mack logging truck

and the Steam roller which was entered into their Super Foot compition

Did mention old tools the stand by Traditional Tools group was a bit smaller than last year but it didn't stop the droolers (me included). Planes and Chisels lost count how many times I went back.

    Hi Ray,

We just got back from Kiama. I'm glad the guy in the first photo didn't buy the Tassie Myrtle boards that he is looking at. They are all in my shed now.

    Nathan.

Jeez, I won't let the boss see that, she'll start getting ideas! (Although I could probably manage the argument "I'll need a Domino to make a cot and change table")

Is Qld Beach the same as White Beech? There was one last board I was looking at (about 4m x 300), but had already filled the car up with Tassie Myrtle.
