Default WA Woodworking Show - get together?

Tradition says that we meet on the Saturday (13th August 2005) for lunch and chat.

I would like to do this. Who else is interested?

    Regards

    Derek

    Derek.

I am hopeful, but not certain, that I will be there. I have a function to attend in Perth on that night and the debate in this household is as to whether we travel up on Friday evening or Saturday.

I will let you know when a decision has been made.

    Rob.

It only takes one drink to get me loaded. Trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or fourteenth.

I'd like to join you blokes on Saturday but - this year - I can't. I'll be doing some planning work for a client on Saturday morning. The crust-earning potential is pretty good so I'm not really complaining.

I'll probably have a run through the Show on Sunday.

    Have a good time, fellas!

Default lets get serious about this,

Yes I think that this is a great idea, BUT, lets be practical....we dont know each other and the show is like a rabbits warren if you think that you can meet up with someone.....we will need to have some kind of identifications...the best ID is to wear a cap, doesnt matter what colour cap you wear ...but if you have a 30cm piece of bright red ribbon hanging at the back of the cap.....thats all you need....a time to get together is also paramount....it would be really good if you could wear a name tag, ok if you dont want to wear it until lunch thats understandable, Put you Name & Town ie KERRY KELLY - MANDURAH, easy to remember faces when they have tags with them.
Another good idea at the show is to wear a back-pack, borrow one from the grandkids, carry your own lunch, drink & snack, its hand free...for notes, keys, phone, reading glasses, stuff that builds up in the pockets....
I am looking for help with idea's for a Womans Club in the Mandurah area....so when you see me....please give me some names or ideas....oh, not meaning to exclude men, just trying to encourage more woman.
Hope you like the ideas let me know if its ok.....someone needs to set time and place also..... also, cards/contact numbers & www. sites etc to hand out!
Don't think you're playing it safe by walking in the middle of the road.....that's the surest way to get hit by traffic coming from both ways!
I'm passionate about woodwork.......making Sawdust again & loving it!

Further to my post earlier, I am now unable to go on Saturday.

I will now be going on Friday.

If anyone is there on Friday, I'll be wearing a forum cap (if it acctually arrives beforhand) or a 'UBEAUT Polishes' cap. Would like to meet any others that are there.

    Hi Gazaly,

Will be there on Friday too, took the day off. I will be the guy with the white beard and cap on, (not forum, grey Nike). That should narrow it down a bit at least.

I will keep an eye out for your forum or UBEAUT cap.

Am sure there are some more of us going on Friday, RichardWoodhead I think is coming up Friday.

    See you there.
    Cheers

I'll be there bright and early Sat morning. Look for the viking

Kekemo, the missus sounded her encouragement for the Womans Club in the Mandurah area. She'll be on the lookout for your name tag.

All the best and hope to see ya's at the show.
