Box Dimensions: 100mm high, 161mm wide and 261mm long.

Lid top... Bandsawn Silky Oak veneers cut from a small gnarly lump, no specific
design, pattern was completely dependant on revealed grain, made up as I
went along until the layon was suitable size for a lid.
Lid btm...Quartersawn Silky Oak from straight timber. Both veneers laminated
onto 6mm reclaimed MDF.
Box btm...Quartersawn Silky Oak laminated onto 6mm MDF, one side only (btm
side)
Sides, front/rear...10mm thick solid Jacaranda, sides...10mm thick solid
Silky Oak, these pieces came from timber which included a small branch.
Handmade Hinges...Beefwood and Brass.
Front decoration/knob...Beefwood.
Lower box inside...flocked (red).
Construction...10mmx10mm box joints for the sides, lid and btm panels are
fitted into a narrow rebate the width of the thickness of the panel to be
flush with the sides, the hinges and front deco./knob are glued in position,
Titebond 2 glue used throughout.
The veneered panels were glued using West System in a press.
The hinges only allow opening to just over 90?
Finish... Hand sanded thru to 400 grit then applied Gilly Stephenson's Lemon
Cream furniture polish
