Dear Bernmc,
Not too sure why you are getting upset about my asking price being too high. It is my prerogative to put whatever price I wish on a tool I am selling, if a potential buyer thinks it is too high then he will not purchase it. I am not trying to spread misinformation, certainly not deliberately. I apologise if I thought Dictum was in the UK, but the reason I quoted 18% VAT was Axminster tools seemed to be your preferred recommendation as their kit had the rail. As Axminster do not have stock of the jigsaws at the moment any price is not relevant. When and if they ever get more stock the price might well be a lot different. I went on the Dictum site just now and the prices I got for the tilting plate was 100.67euros, the saw was listed as 486.71 euros as a special deal, (as the normal price was 543.83 euros) if you total those two that is 587.38 euros plus 80 euros freight which comes to 667.38 euros and that converts to $1,052.39 Australian which means it will be hit with duty! You will also have some sort of exchange rate charge depending on who does it mysterious or not! Interestingly enough the only place I could find the F80 rail you got with your kit was Timberwolf tools and they listed it as $95.30US which converts to $131.67 Australian so I think you were very fortunate over a year ago to make your purchase. I suspect that when and if Axminster tools get more stock their kit price will suffer a sudden increase. Just to make sure you do not suspect me of spreading misinformation I have attached the priced items from the Dictum site. I am not too sure how you got the prices you listed, perhaps they give you special prices as a repeat customer as I would certainly not accuse you of spreading misinformation in the way I have been accused. I felt quite upset at being attacked and my ethics brought into question when all I wished to do was inform the forum that I had an item for sale on Gumtree. I feel much better that my research shows that my price is less than the new price even if not by much and my unit would be lucky to have done more than a dozen cuts which was merely to test and demonstrate it to a few friends and to make a video of its capabilities. Import duties by the way are charged on the total cost of the item including freight and any insurance so my price might not be quite so bad after all. However I agree nothing is being achieved by this back and forth so I suggest we call it a day and move on. I doubt if any forum members are likely to purchase my unit and I have a feeling that for the average person it is far too expensive so I guess I will be passing it on to my son.

Dear Bernmc
Very sorry I tried to attach my items but they did not attach so I will give it another go as I feel it is important that I verify I am using information off the Dictum site and the proper import duties site rather than something I made up. The attachments should have been with my last reply.
