Hi Derek - extremely happy. This will really change what I can do in my workshop. Regarding price, it was $2973. They dropped 10% off the price after some horse trading. I really don't know how they make money on that. The price has only just kept above inflation.

Hi Joe - the SCM 400 was a seriously good bandsaw. I was priced out of this one even after SCM moved on price substantially. Combine the larger price with needing to get a 30amp set up it was all a bit too much. If I had the (about) extra $2k to spend I would have gone with it.

If you know your cars, the Hammer was a Range Rover Sport, the SCM was the Range Rover classic. An absolute beast with all the fancy kit. It was the only other one I looked at that had the euro guides. I like the telescopic blade guard. I viewed it side by side with the MiniMax s45 and it made the s45 look like a small toy.
