Default Band Saw disc cutting jig for discs 40-2300mm

After recently cutting a 900mm disc freehand I decided to make a circle cutting jig for my band saw. I have only used scrap material from my workshop for its easy & quick construction. the table is the 1220x460mm twin sink & drainer cutout from a 33mm thick bench top I made, it gives enough depth to rout the slide flush, the laminate makes a nice slippery surface for rotating the disc on. (Try a bench top manufacturer for a cheap/free cutout). A smaller double sink cutout without the drainer would give discs up to 1.2m. For the disc size adjuster I used 70x18mm pine inserted in a routed slot in the laminate table with a 5mm dowel inserted in one end for large discs & a dowel center flush in the other end,(just thump the material unto the center and spin). I fixed the table top to the band saw with 2 IMG reduced_9227.jpgIMG reduced_9229.jpgIMG reduced_9230.jpgIMG reduced_9231.jpg5x60mm Allen socket pan head cabinetry bolts through the band saw table, the heads routed flush. For ease of setup (3mins) I turned up speed knobs 65w x 50h from scrap hardwood finger grips made with 25mm drum sander in die grinder. Drill a 7-8mm hole in center of knob, intersect that hole with a 11mm hole drilled in the side (as per photo) epoxy a round cabinetry nut into the hole & align with bolt, (don't forget to free the bolt before the epoxy sets fully). Because of the length of the top I made a support leg, 35mm pipe, large auto body mount washer for foot & hinge welded to top and screwed under table top so it folds up for storage. This won't be necessary for smaller table top. Adjust my measurements to suit your band saw.

    Nice jig - well done!.

Can see you have some dust extraction issues with that saw (they all do) - maybe take a look here for some ideas.
