    Default Bandsaw DVD

I was ratting through a box of "goodies" I was given recently and found a DVD with no title or instruction on it.. put it in the player and was pleased to see it was "Making the most of your Bandsaw" or some title close to that..

Has some yank showing off up to 4 of his bandsaws..

    Is anyone interested in it?
I try and do new things twice.. the first time to see if I can do it.. the second time to see if I like it

I would be interested in having a look at it. My son works in Traralgon so maybe I could send you a PM with contact details that suit you and then he could pass the DVD onto me on our next visit.

Perhaps it could be sent on from one member to another after a viewing .... A travelling library.

Having just purchased my first bandsaw on the weekend, I would love to have a look at the dvd if possible to see just what I can do with it.

The forwarding idea sounds great to me.

    Regards

Sounds like a great idea...i'm yet to purchase a bandsaw, so i was originally here looking to see what equipment people used, but there would certainly be some value in seeing some of the things that can be done with a bandsaw and then working backwards to find a saw that will do what I need it to.

    cheers

Was that "Mastering your bandsaw" by Mark Duginske?

If it is, and you have a B/S - keep it!

I've got my copy and I don't know how many times I've looked at it. The guy's a friggin genius with the B/S!

    Cheers!

Thats the one.. I admit when I discovered what it was I sat up till midnight watching what this guy could do...

I like the idea of a traveling library, I will PM those interested and see where it goes from there.

    Me too mate,

However, there may be some copyright limitations on what can and cannot be "shared around". If a library were set up, it would likely have to come to some arrangement with the copyright holders as to how, and under what conditions, such material could be distributed.

A simple "You sell, I buy, I sell, you buy, etc) model might work? It may even be possible to agree beforehand what a reasonable buy/sell price might be (it may even be the same price, after all we WWs are an altruistic lot, aren't we) - and the $$ could even be tokes of IoU/YoM, etc...?

I'm not a lawyer but, attractive as the idea is, in today's society this idea may be stillborn.

    Cheers!

I understand what you writing, but

When I buy a new motor car I can let other poeple use it, I can sell it, I can alter it, etc. etc. etc.

I think the law is unreasonable with regard to the arts, it stacked to one party.

    .
Yes you can. Your car didn't come with a license agreement, did it? DVDs, videos, and CDs do.
