    Default Bandsaw identification help

Anyone have an idea which brand/model/year this might be? Or how to tell without a badge other than the motor plate?
My guess is a meber, but not too sure - the blue paint is a over green original I think.

Nope - starting to think it may have been manufactured locally, possibly 20-30yrs old.
Apart from current colour - the BS looks identical to one advertised on Ron Mack Machinery recently which was listed as a 'Brooklyn' brand - made in Australia

As I'm stripping it down to clean up, a couple of things are apparent:
Has a welded steel frame - wheels are cast iron, as is the table. adjustment knobs and wheels are plastic

There are at least three layers of paint, original is green, then a bright blue and then the blue as is mostly now. The black is only on the welded steel frame, and is the first layer under green.

The motor appears to have been a replacement at some point: the motor badge has been screwed on, but has damaged holes from a previous removal; face mount bolt holes don't line up to holes on saw, and opening through to pulleys looks like it's been enlarged at some point. Although its a big motor, its only attached by two bolts.

Top and bottom blade guides are labelled "Jolly S-70"

Looks like it was sold and/or serviced at some point by Australian Trade Equipment in Enfield (Sydney, NSW) - the phone numbers are pre-eight digit, so it's at least 20 years old...

It probably doesn't make a huge deal of difference if I never know the brand/model - but it would be nice to know if I can.
    Cheers

Looks like a great project to restore, wish I had the room for something like that.

    Cheers.
