    Default which blades

    HI
I'm fairly new to woodstuff and acquired a really nice Durden bandsaw. Which blades are better Carbon or Bi-metal -
I only cut wood, mainly blanks for turning, occassional branch -
    I got quoted $19.00 for Carbon steel or $42.00 for Bi-metal -
So, to be value for money the Bi-metal should stay sharp for at least 3 times longer. Other than their stay-sharpness, do Bi-metal blades have other qualities i am not aware of???

Thanks in advance for any advice
