Hi Masher,
I reckon I looked at everything available for months.....talk about indecisive lol.
The Sherwood 350 is similar to the Hafco 360, but has no quick release for the blade, and the fence has a screw to lock it instead of a cam.
Its roughly the same price so its no competition for the Hafco IMHO.
The other two machines you mentioned are a step up from the Hafco 360, both in physical size and power, I believe the 355 has a 2 hp motor.
People say buy the biggest machine you can afford and I understand that sentiment, but I have no need for the bigger saw, this one meets my needs.
I have recently resawn a piece of Vic ash 190 mm high, I used a new blade, and spent time setting the saw up.
The 360 managed to my satisfaction but if I were to do this regularly I would want the bigger saw.
The other thing to mention was that decided I had a budget under a grand.
Hope this helps,

I'm currently deciding between the 355 and the 360. I can't find any information on the wheels.
Does anyone know if they're one, both or neither are cast iron wheels?
I'm leaning towards the 355.

The 355 I have has alloy cast wheels and I guess the other one would be the same. I had to use a magnet to check. Alloy they are but not wimpy. Look well cast and sturdy. My 355 has been going well for the 8 years I have had it and still happy with it. I think the extra power and weight make it a better bet than the 360 if the budget can stretch to it.

Thanks John.
All the reviews I've read say steer clear of anything that isn't cast iron wheels and table.

Well the table is cast iron. As to the wheels they are doing the job of holding that blade just fine. Only advantage of iron wheels I can think of is a bit of momentum due to the extra weight. May give a small advantage to a low powered saw.
I also think that well made and balanced is more important than the material. Some home made bandsaws work just fine with wooden wheels.

John
