Default How flat should my table be?

I am the proud new owner of a BAS 350 bandsaw from Carbatec (gotta love fathers day!!). After going through all of the initial setup + assembly stuff there is a section in the manual that says to check that the table is flat, and if not, adust it with a couple of screws from underneath.
The problem I have is that the screws adjust the table the wrong way, throwing it further out of flat (if that is the right expression). It is highest at the centre where the gap for the blade is and slopes down to the edges, but onlyinfront of the blade. Behind the blade is fine. If I sit a 300mm straightedge across the table, There is a half mm or so of movement at each end of the straightedge, which is worst closest to the blade but not as bad at the edge of the table.
I'm not sure what sort of tolerances to expect - is this in the normal range or should I be looking at getting it replaced (I haven't even switched it on yet)?

    Hoping someone can help.

    Cheers,

    Matto

    Dead flat.

If you can't get it right I'd be back to the supplier, if they can't show or tell you how to do it. put on the pressure for a new one

Matto, I doubt there is any such thing as a perfectly flat table, it all depends what you are prepared to put up with.
Is there a tapered pin in the side of the table? I am not familiar with your saw but on mine there is. Try tapping this in and out to see if it makes any difference. Just a thought.
The hurrier I go, the behinder I get.

.1mm to .2mm tolerance will be required if you expect to cut square ends with your new machine. If the error can not be adjusted out then you may consider taking it back for a flatter one.
I do not have any official association with machinery manufacturers or re-sellers.
